The Taliban are increasingly targeting British troops in Afghanistan with single shots, a senior officer has revealed.
Major General Gordon Messenger said the Taliban in Helmand - where most of the 10,300 British troops in Afghanistan are based - are moving away from the 'spray and pray' tactic of wildly firing their guns.
He told journalists at the Ministry of Defence in London: 'I think we are seeing across the AO (area of operations) a greater use of single shots.

My Comment: For the past 9 years, snipers within the Taliban ranks have been few and far between. But with a heavy foreign component now within the ranks of the Taliban, this development is unfortunately now changing in favor of the Taliban.
