U.A.E. Officials Confirm Terror Attack on Tanker -- Wall Street Journal
ABU DHABI—The Japanese-owned oil tanker that reported an explosion last week while traveling through the Strait of Hormuz was attacked by terrorists, according to investigators in the United Arab Emirates, citing forensic evidence that found traces of explosives on the vessel.
"U.A.E. explosives experts who collected and examined samples found a dent on the starboard side above the water line and remains of home-made explosives on the hull," according to a statement released by the U.A.E.'s state-run news agency WAM.
