South Korea Naval Games Shelved -- The Australian
A SCHEDULED joint naval exercise between the US and South Korea this month that had enraged China is being postponed.
The delay, according to military sources, was to preserve regional stability.
The war games were to have featured the giant nuclear-powered aircraft carrier the USS George Washington and were scheduled in response to North Korea's reported sinking of the South Korean patrol boat Cheonan in February.
"For the time being, there will be no joint aircraft carrier strike group exercise that South Korea and the US considered holding late this month," a South Korean government source said.

My Comment: The timing makes it look like China was able to impact this naval exercise. Either way .... this is how it is going to play in both South and North Korea, as well as China.
