Guantanamo's Youngest Prisoner Confesses



Khadr Admits Feeling 'Happy' After Throwing Fatal Grenade -- Montreal Gazette/Post Media News

U.S. NAVAL BASE GUANTANAMO, Cuba — Omar Khadr said he "felt happy" when he heard that a grenade he threw had killed a U.S. Army medic, according to a fact summary read in court Tuesday.

The summary, known officially as a "stipulation of facts," was read in court by the prosecution at the military war-crimes tribunal at Guantanamo Bay. As part of a plea deal to limit his sentence, Khadr has agreed to the fact summary, which lays out in detail the five war crimes to which he has admitted.
