9/11 Health Settlement Accepted by Workers -- Wall Street Journal

More than 95% of Ground Zero workers agreed to accept a settlement of long-running litigation over respiratory diseases and other injuries suffered as a result of recovery operations following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack.

A report released Friday indicated that 95.1% of 10,563 eligible plaintiffs agreed to participate in the settlement, which could be as much as $815 million. More than 98% of the sickest workers, known as Tier 4, agreed to accept the deal.
