Suicide Bomber Kills 50 In Saddam Hussein's Home Town -- The Telegraph
A suicide bomber in Saddam Hussein's home town of Tikrit killed at least 50 people, mostly young men hoping to sign up for the Iraqi police.
The death toll, exceptionally high for a lone suicide bomber, was the highest since November, and the biggest for a single attack since the death of more than 50 worshippers and police in an al-Qaeda raid on a church in Iraq's capital Baghdad in October.
It is also the first major attack since the formation of a new government in December.
