Up for grabs: The eBay post selling Mr Owens' Military Cross

Afghanistan War Hero Puts His Military Cross And Campaign Medals Up For Sale On eBay -- The Daily Mail

A war veteran who saw action in Afghanistan is selling his Military Cross on the auction website eBay.

Ranger Alan Owens, who served with the Royal Irish Regiment, was awarded the prestigious honour for developing 'a level of empathy with the local population which no amount of fighting could establish'.

Mr Owens, from Portadown, Co Armagh, was presented with the Military Cross in March 2009.

My Comment: I guess he needs the money to make ends meet .... and yes .... I hope he gets his asking price.

£100,000 is a lot of money. Fortunately .... some regard what Ranger Alan Owens did as priceless.

As to making a bet on this Mark .... honestly .... I always lose .... and in this case I hope I lose big time.
