'Absolute Bravery': Female Army Medic Awarded Military Cross For Treating Wounded Afghan Soldier For 20 Minutes Under Taliban Gunfire -- The Daily Mail

An Army medic who put herself in 'mortal danger' when she ignored heavy Taliban fire to treat a wounded Afghan soldier has been awarded the Military Cross.

Lance Corporal Kylie Watson gave the medical care in exposed open ground for 20 minutes before helping to evacuate the stricken man.

L/Cpl Watson, of the Royal Army Medical Corps, is believed to be only the fourth woman to be awarded the MC.
