The B-2 Stealth Bomber: How The US Military Will Break Gaddafi's Spirit -- The Telegraph
The UN coalition is waging psychological warfare in Libya, and the proof is in the picture above. It shows a B-2 Stealth bomber landing at a US airbase in Missouri, after a 25-hour mission. Three of the bombers flew an 11,500-mile round trip to drop 45 bombs – each weighing 2000lbs – on one unfortunate airbase in Libya. And beyond that, we know very little.
But apart from decimating an airbase (presumably destroying grounded planes, the runways and hangars etc) and no doubt killing a few of Gaddafi’s men, can you imagine the effect on morale this would have on those who are still loyal to the dictator’s regime?

My Comment: While the B-2 bomber is an effective (and expensive) weapon system, this is an even more effective (and cheaper) "weapon system" in psyching out your enemy. But personally .... I believe going down this route is even more effective.
But we all know that in the end, Gaddafi and his loyalists will not be looking at the might of the U.S. military .... instead .... they will be more focused on the lack of political will coming from Washington and NATO capitals to continue the fight. Knowing this, it should not be a surprise that the Libyan strategy (right now) is simple .... they are buying for time.
