Yemen Violence Persists As Saleh Plan Stalls -- Financial Times
Two anti-government protesters were killed and hundreds wounded throughout Yemen on Monday as a stalemate in the country’s 10-week-old political crisis raised fears about more violence.
The Gulf Co-operation Council last week offered a deal aimed at ending the standoff and calling for Ali Abdullah Saleh, the president, to step down 30 days after formation of a unity government. But the proposal received a lukewarm response from ruling party and opposition officials.
