The Slippery Story Of The Bin Laden Kill -- Garance Franke-Ruta, The Atlantic
The early narrative of the assault on Osama bin Laden had him using his wife as a human shield and firing from behind her. Now we learn he wasn't armed.

My Comment: The incompetence of the Obama administration is showing themselves AGAIN. This is what always happens when one tries to politicize an event that should NOT be politicized.
Update: I am not the only one who is confused with the White House story.(Check May 03, 2011 - 04:55PM)

the story got out in what we believe to be an accurate version. It ill behoves you to belittle a president who took so great a risk and very possible disaster to his political well-being by badmouthing him when you had nothing bad to say about Bush and his failure to act when OBL was spotted some time ago by CIA and nothing was done.
Thank you fred for your comment.
Actually .... President Obama has been more proactive in going after Al Qaeda in Pakistan than President Bush ever was .... and I have always made that point clear. More drone strikes, the use of special forces, a surge in U.S. forces into Afghanistan, etc., this has been a continuation of Bush policy (plus).
As to my belittling President Obama .... never .... critical of his policies .... definitely .... just as I always was with President Bush.
