British Nuclear Submarine Commander Accused Of Killing French Fishermen But Was Russian Vessel To Blame? -- Daily Mail

A Royal Navy submarine commander has been accused of killing five French fishermen by accidentally dragging their boat underwater.

The son of one of the seamen killed says he has 'proof' that HMS Turbulent, commanded by Commander Andy Coles, became tangled in the trawler Bugaled Breizh's nets while on exercise and sank the boat in 2004.

But Navy sources told the Daily Telegraph that a Russian submarine spying on Nato exercises was to blame, and insist that no Navy boats were anywhere near the French trawler when it sank.
