I've been studying challenges in the arctic from a Canadian perspective for the last 2 years.
I have recently come to the conclusion that a arctic arms race is a big waste of money from the perspective of defending from a potential invasion.
If anything military capabilities that ensure timely search and rescue is where Canadian tax payees money should go.
