David Petraeus Tries To Patch Things Up With Pakistan -- Politico

Gen. David Petraeus, the outgoing commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, and his successor in Afghanistan met with Pakistan’s army chief on Thursday as tensions over the military raid that killed Osama bin Laden continue to hamper relations between the two countries.

U.S. relations with Pakistan have seriously deteriorated since the May 2 operation, which infuriated Pakistani military officials and has set off a series of retaliatory moves between the two countries.

My Comment: General Petraeus knows that as CIA chief he will need to work with Pakistan .... an option that I am sure he knows will need a lot of work.
