A REVOLUTIONARY new cancer treatment developed in London but not yet available in the UK has enabled the Lockerbie bomber to reach the second anniversary of his release from prison, it emerged yesterday.
Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, 59, will today be surrounded by family and friends as he celebrates his freedom at home in Libya.
This is despite being given just three months to live when Scottish authorities released him on compassionate grounds due to his prostate cancer on August 20 2009.
Families of the 270 people who died because of the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie in 1988 have expressed outrage.

My Comment: If true .... this is unbelievable. Fortunately, the Americans have made it very clear to the Libyan rebels that they want him tried in an American court, even though the Scots are still in denial on their decision to release him.
