The White House says reports that President Obama planned to apologize to Japan for the U.S. using nuclear weapons to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War Two aren't true.
Though the White House doesn't typically discuss Wikileak cables, an administration official tells Fox News that there was never any plan for an apology and that the president's visit speaks for itself.

My Comment: Well .... that clears that up. But what is missing in the story .... and what interests me .... is on what were the Japanese thinking when they told U.S. Ambassador to Japan John Roos that they did not want an apology from President Obama for the bombings. In short .... their request reveals to me a lot on what they see in President Obama, than the White House response to this story.
