Cooperation between the military and intelligence communities has grown "to new heights" since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, CIA Director David Petraeus said Wednesday at Fort Bragg.

The retired four-star general, who described himself as "a soldier turned spymaster," spoke at a luncheon during the Special Operations Forces Symposium and Exposition. He received the Association of Special Operations Professionals' Man of the Year Award to a standing ovation.
