3 Reportedly Dead As Protesters Clash With Police In Cairo For Fifth Day -- FOX News
CAIRO – Three people died Wednesday as Egyptian pro-democracy activists clashed with police for the fifth straight day in Cairo.
Shadi al Naggar, a doctor at the Omar Makram field hospital, said three people died as a result of violence in Mohammed Mahmud street, located just off the central Tahrir Square, where police fired tear gas and birdshot against protesters who were throwing stones and Molotov cocktails, AFP reported.
"It looked like live bullets, but I didn't get a chance to examine [them] before they were taken away to the hospitals ... One of them had his skull crushed," Naggar said.
