Iraqi Prime Minister Arrives In US For Diplomacy Talks -- The Telegraph
Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki arrived in Washington today, looking to open a new chapter with the United States after a protracted war that left deep wounds.
Mr Maliki was later expected at a dinner reception with Hillary Clinton.
He officially kicks off his two-day visit by holding wide-ranging talks with President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday, less than a month before the complete withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and more than eight years after the launch of the US-led invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein.
Mr Maliki is also due to meet with Vice President Joe Biden and lawmakers to discuss security, energy, education and justice.

My Comment: As long as the Iraqi government is splintered along factional lines .... I do not expect any changes in U.S. - Iraq relations.
