Tax From Military Wives Choir Single Should Be Given To Charity, Urges MP -- The Telegraph

Tax raised from the sales of the Military Wives Choir’s hit single Wherever You Are should be donated to armed forces' charities, an MP has urged.

The song, tipped to knock X Factor's Little Mix off the top of the charts and become the Christmas number one, is dedicated to the choir members’ husbands who served in Afghanistan.

Proceeds from the sale of the single will go to the Royal British Legion and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen Families Association (SSAFA).

However, Oliver Colvile, Conservative MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, is to ask the Treasury to donate the VAT to the choir's chosen charities.

My Comment: This is a cause that I would not have a problem supporting.
