They were the underdogs in the race for the Christmas number one.
But now it seems that the Military Wives could well snare the festive top spot when the charts are announced this Sunday, as mid-week figures show the choir's track Wherever You Are is outselling the rest of the top 20 combined.
Gareth Malone's choir have sold a staggering 319,000 copies of the single, based on units sold up to midnight last night, and are currently outselling X Factor winners Little Mix's single Cannonball six to one.
