The date is July 27, 2012, and in London the Olympic Games are about to begin. For months, the British people have been looking forward to the jamboree of patriotic enthusiasm.

My Comment: Such a hypothetical "invasion" is not going to happen. Because Argentina's military has received little budgetary support from the government over the years .... it is now one of Latin Amerca's smallest (and weakest) armed forces. In short, it simply dos not have the resources to conduct a successful attack against a well trained and experienced British garrison .... especially against a garrison like the one at Mount Pleasant airbase. Argentina's best hope is to put international pressure on Britain .... but this would have to be a very long term strategy, especially since most countries are not going to be willing to sacrifice their interests with Britain to satisfy Argentina`s claims on the Falklands/Malvinas.
