Panetta: 2 U.S. Army Brigades To Leave Europe -- Defense News

The U.S. Army will withdraw two combat brigades from Europe, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Jan. 12.

In a press release on the Defense Department website, Panetta is quoted as saying two permanently stationed Army combat brigades will be replaced with rotational units, similar to the way U.S. Marines and Special Forces staff European requirements.
