Ex-Israeli Intelligence Chief Reportedly Says He Believes Iran Can Build Nuclear Bomb -- FOX News/AP
JERUSALEM – An Israeli newspaper is quoting a former Israeli military intelligence chief as saying Iran has all the components to build a nuclear bomb.
Iran says its nuclear program is designed to produce energy and serve other peaceful purposes, but Israel and the West say it is aimed at developing weapons technology.

My Comment: The question has never been .... can Iran build a bomb .... they can because they have the resources and (probably) the knowledge to build a crude device. The actual focus has been on .... does Iran want to have nuclear weapons, and does Iran want to be faced with the consequences of pursuing such a policy. For the moment the general consensus appears to be no. As to how Israel may respond in the meantime .... the Israeli Defense Minister has made it clear that any decision to attack Iran is still "far away", but even with this sentiment, the pressure on Iran continues.
