U.S. Embassy In Syria Preparing To Close. American Personnel Will Be Evacuated



State Department Preparing To Close Embassy In Syria, No Final Decision Made -- FOX News

The State Department is preparing to close the U.S. embassy in Damascus amid worsening security conditions in Syria, senior U.S. officials said Friday.

The officials stressed that no final decision has been made. The Obama administration is first asking the Syrian government "to take additional security measures."

My Comment: These U.S. security concerns are justified. With armed rebels now on the streets of Damascus itself, and claims that Syria is beginning to look like Libya everyday are being circulated .... a prudent observer would say that it is time to leave.
