'Die, Die Foreigners': Thousands Of Outraged Afghans Protest Outside American Airbase After Koran Burning Insult By US Troops -- Daily Mail

More than 2,000 angry Afghans are protesting today against the burning of Korans at a US air base - with some firing guns in the air and shouting 'die, die foreigners'

Thick black smoke poured from fires started by demonstrators, who threw stones and other missiles at the sprawling Bagram Air Field in Parwan province, north of Kabul, and as the crowd grows, so does the outrage.

Ahmad Zaki Zahed, chief of the provincial council, said US military officials gave him about 30 Korans and other religious books that were recovered before they were destroyed.
