Britain's Military Cannot Fight Another Libya-Style Campaign



Armed Forces Too Weak To Fight Another Libya, Warns Defence Committee -- The Telegraph

The Armed Forces will struggle to launch a Libya-style campaign because defence cuts have drastically weakened the military, an influential group of MPs has warned.

Cuts forced on the Services since the operation has meant that there is considerably less manpower and hardware available than when the Libya intervention was launched last March.

Whitehall should reopen the much-maligned Strategic Defence and Security Review for Britain to defend her interests, the Commons Defence Committee reported.
