Is Central America Is About To Give Up OnThe "War On Drugs"?
Guatemalan president Otto Perez Molina said he will propose legalising drugs in Central America in a forthcoming meeting with the region's leaders.
Mr Perez Molina said in a radio interview that his proposal would include decriminalising the transportation of drugs through the area.
"I want to bring this discussion to the table," he said. "It would not be a crime to transport, to move drugs. It would all have to be regulated."

My Comment: The hope is that legalization will decrease the violence that is often associated with this trade. My prediction .... it's going to increase it as drug gangs battle for territory and profits.
