Mauritania To Hand Over Gaddafi's Ex-Spy Chief To Libya

Libya Claims Mauritania Will Hand Over Abdullah al-Senussi -- The Telegraph

Libya claims that Mauritania will hand over Muammar Gaddafi's former spy chief Abdullah al-Senussi for trial.

Government spokesman Nasser al-Manaa said on Wednesday that the government of the West African nation will return Senussi for "a fair process" in a Libyan court.

Senussi was detained Saturday in Mauritania.

"We have obtained an agreement from Mauritania to deliver Senussi to Libya where he will receive a fair trial. No date has been decided upon but it will be very soon," said spokesman Mr Manaa.

"We respect the judicial procedures in Mauritania which will take time to finish, but it is simply a question of time."
