North Korea's offer to suspend uranium enrichment and allow international inspectors into the country breaks an impasse over its nuclear program with the United States and offers a modest but encouraging step toward easing regional tensions.

The surprising move by the North also included an agreement to halt long-range missile tests and, at the same time, the Obama administration agreed to offer Pyongyang 240,000 metric tons of food aid.

My Comment: What's my take on this North Korean development

.... "fool me once, shame on you .... fool me twice ..... shame on me".

The fact is that this dog and pony show with North Korea has happened before, and it is happening now. It is when North Korea starts to implement serious economic and political changes and reforms .... that is when I know that they are serious about curtailing their nuclear and missile programs. Absent that .... they are doing this because their own soldiers and party members are now concerned that they do not have enough to eat.
