President Obama's Choice Of A Lapel Badge

President Barack Obama visits U.S. military personnel stationed at Observation Post Ouellette along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) which borders North and South Korea, outside Seoul, March 25, 2012. President Barack Obama visited South Korea's tense border with the North on Sunday in a show of solidarity with U.S. ally Seoul and a message of resolve to Pyongyang's new young ruler in his country's nuclear standoff with the West. My Comment: What caught my attention was President Obama's lapel badge .... President Obama, Commander in Chief.

I know who he is, and I know that as President he is also Commander in Chief .... but why wear a lapel label saying what everyone in the room knows. I don't know .... maybe it is just me .... but I have never before seen a President of the United States walk around with such a lapel label ..... after all .... YOU ARE the President, and if someone cannot recognize you .... well then .... it is they who have the problem.

The local troops gave it to him. Probably some conservatives who then alerted you or somebody who they knew would bring it to your attention.

Nothing will ever replace Bush landing on a carrier followed by his appearance before the "Mission Accomplished". Nothing

Not making a political statement .... I just find it goofy.

Not sure that is a gift from a local command. Those usually have that local commands insignia on it vice Air Force One. Regardless, it is still goofy.

As opposed to this: http://www.presidentsrus.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/bush-jacket.jpg

Took about 15 seconds to find on Google search. Do better.

LOL Thank you Rob .... oldfatslow is right .... that also looks goofy.
But then again .... I need not remind my readers that I grew up in the former Soviet Union, and our leaders always liked to look like this http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8bEdZGbBsg0/SrZCyVgqbEI/AAAAAAAAIAs/uoOHoTaXoh8/s400/BREZHNEV.jpg
