Update: Russia says Syrian ceasefire must be simultaneous -- Reuters
My Comment: Russian support of Assad and his regime in Syria is a disgrace .... a support that is rooted in old Cold War thinking and ideology. My prediction .... Russia is going to pay a terrible price within the Arab world when all of this is over.

Thank you Brodie for your (cough, cough) comment. My prediction .... Russia is repeating it's history. They supported Gaddafi .... well ... we know what happened there. They now support Assad .... the same thing will happen there in the next year or two. Fortunately, there are many in Russia who are now questioning this open ended Russian support for the Assad family. Again .... my prediction .... Russia is going to pull back and adopt a more neutral stance as the violence and blood shed continues (and escalates) in Syria.
