Samantha Cameron has spoken publicly for the first time about her experiences on the day of the 9/11 terror attacks in New York City as she visited the memorial site with her husband David Cameron.

During an emotional visit to Ground Zero on the final day of their U.S trip yesterday, the prime minister’s wife said the 'memories of that day will stay with me forever' and that she often thinks 'about the people that died.'

Mrs Cameron laid a bouquet of white roses on the spot where the name of British victim Katherine Wolf is engraved alongside nearly 3,000 others who lost their lives. Her husband Charles met the Camerons at the memorial and in a tender moment, he kissed her name on the memorial.

My Comment: A good friend of mine was working a few miles away from the Twin Towers on 9/11 .... and she always tells me the same thing .... "that she will never forget that day".
