France Goes To The Polls This Sunday To Elect A President



France Election: Hollande And Sarkozy In Final Drive -- BBC

Campaigning in one of the most important French elections in decades is into its final day, with rival rallies planned across the country.

Nicolas Sarkozy is making his final pitch for re-election as president in the south-eastern city of Nice.

Socialist challenger Francois Hollande is appearing in the northern town of Charleville-Mezieres.

The two differ sharply over the crisis in the eurozone, where France plays a leading role along with Germany.

Opinion polls suggest Mr Hollande will win the two-round contest, ending 17 years of conservative presidency.
