The CIA Foiled A Bomb Plot Aboard A US Bound Jet On The Anniversary Of Bin Laden's Death -- Business Insider

The Associated Press reports the CIA thwarted a bomb plot on board a U.S. bound jet on the anniversary of Osama bin Laden's death.

The attack was to be carried out by al-Qaeda's affiliate in Yemen, using a new design meant to evade detection.

The upgraded device was an stepped up version of the underwear bomb that failed to go off on the Christmas 2009 attack.
