The "Frosty" Meeting Between President Putin And President Obama

The Two Men Barely Looked At Each Other -- Weekly Standard

CBS reports that when Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin met with the press after their long private discussion, "The two men barely looked at each other. My Comment: The American press is making me laugh on trying to explain what happened yesterday between Presidents Putin and Obama. Bottom line .... if anyone bothers to read what the Russians are saying in their press (being Russian I can) .... the Kremlin simply does not respect nor trust President Obama from President Putin on down. To put it bluntly .... there is no chemistry between the two.

Strange aright, but I'm pretty sure Putin knows that he's going to get a 'colder' reception should Romney get in office...

He probably will get a colder reception .... and if there is anyone who deserves a cold reception, it is Putin .... but at least there will be respect.

That's the problem right now .... there is no respect .... and on both sides.

Just watched the video, which was before my previous comment, and to me it is nothing but press spin on both sides no doubt, it is hard to engage the atmosphere when your not in their shoes, it may not be a warm relationship but the 'two men barely looked at each other' statement accounts for much of the spin...

The Obama Administration's "reset" is now nothing more than a laughing stock between the U.S. and Russia

To D. Plowman: I agree. The video says nothing. My remarks are on what the US media is saying .... and what the Russian media saying. Not surprisingly .... both sides are spinning different stories.

Thank you CREN for your comment. "Laughing stock" is a bit harsh .... I would say sad and disappointing.
