When Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton accused Russia of sending attack helicopters to Syria, she might have ratcheted up the pressure not only on Russia, but on the US, too.

With her assertion this week that Russia is sending attack helicopters to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad to use against his own people, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton may have been out to increase pressure on Russia to drop its resistance to international action in the Syrian conflict.

My Comment: As bad as Syrian government is .... and they are horrible .... the Sunni Islamists that are battling the Assad regime have the potential to be even worse. So .... among the choice of these two evils, I will choose neither .... but I will support supplying humanitarian aid and providing assistance to countries like Turkey who are being now being swamped with a growing refugee crisis.

As U.S. involvement in the Iraq war proved .... the road to hell is sometimes paved with good intentions .... and in Syria .... in my opinion .... all roads are pointing to hell.
