Drug Abuse On The Rise In Afghanistan -- Al Jazeera

UN says country has largest number of drug addicts per capita, but only small fraction have access to treatment.

Drug addiction is reportedly on the rise in Afghanistan, which remains the largest producer of opium.

About three per cent of Afghans abuse narcotics, making the country the world's top user per capita, according to UN reports. But only a small fraction of addicts have access to proper treatment.
