Britain's Military Chiefs Condemn Government's Moves On Reducing The Size Of The Military
Troops are being drafted in to rescue Olympics at time when Government is 'plundering' Armed Forces, military’s most senior commanders say.
Air Vice Marshal Sir Michael Graydon, Gen Sir Michael Rose and Vice Admiral Sir Jeremy Blackham have written to The Daily Telegraph to highly the plummeting morale in the military as more than 17,000 are called up for Olympic duty.
The retired officers accuse the Coalition of “cynically driven” cuts that have left troops with “career prospects consigned to the cutting floor”.
The best leaders were leaving in their “droves” fed up with the swathe of cuts to their regiments, loss of allowances and married quarters that were a “disgrace”
