Cambodia And Thailand Agree To Withdraw Their Troops From Contested Areas Near The Preah Vihear Temple


Cambodia – Thailand: Troops Leave Border Temple -- Eurasia Review

Cambodia and Thailand on Wednesday withdrew troops from a disputed area near an ancient temple on their border which had been the site of deadly cross-border clashes, honoring a ruling handed down by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) a year ago.

The troops had been stationed along the border near Preah Vihear Temple for more than four years.

My Comment:
Both sides may withdraw their military forces from the contested areas .... but the differences still remain. My prediction .... this is only a short term solution that will come back when no progress is achieved.
