Annan Says al-Assad Agrees To 'Approach' To Ending Syria Violence -- CNN

(CNN) -- Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has agreed on "an approach" to ending the bloodshed in Syria, Kofi Annan, the joint U.N.-Arab League envoy to Syria, said Monday.

While he gave no details, Annan said after meeting with al-Assad in Damascus that he will share the approach with the armed opposition.

Annan also said al-Assad "reassured me of the government's commitment" to Annan's six-point peace plan, brokered in March, which has done nothing to stop the deadly violence.

My Comment: The 'Devil' is in the details, and I expect the details will .... as before .... derail any final peace plan.
