Insurgents Launch A Wave of Coordinated Attacks In Iraq



Iraq Suffers Barrage Of Deadly Attacks -- The Telegraph

More than 20 attacks have been carried out across Iraq, killing at least 58 people and injuring hundreds.

At least 58 people were killed in attacks across Iraq on Sunday, including a car bomb outside a French consulate.

The most serious of the bombings, blasts and shootings on Sunday happened near the city of Amara, 185 miles south of Baghdad, when two car bombs exploded outside a Shi'ite shrine and a market place, killing at least 16 people, officials said.

Overnight in Dujail, 30 miles north of Baghdad, gunmen and a suicide bomber driving a car attacked a military base, killing 11 soldiers and injuring seven, police said.

My Comment:
These attacks were meticulously planned and coordinated .... a worrisome development because it reveals that the insurgents are getting better organized in their ability to launch multiple attacks.
