Carney: Protests Not Directed At The United States -- Washington Free Beacon
'This is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy, this is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims'.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday the violent protests throughout the Middle East are not directed at the United States or U.S. policy but are a response to a YouTube video:
CARNEY: We also need to understand that this is a fairly volatile situation and it is in response not to United States policy, and not to, obviously, the administration, or the American people, but it is in response to a video, a film that we have judged to be be reprehensible and disgusting. That in no way justifies any violent reaction to it, but this is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy, this is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims.

You clearly are given your recent war/fear mongering, anti-Obama ranting posts. It's hard to understand the paranoia you resort to in many of your analytical observations. One must wonder what you're hoping to accomplish by scaring your readers.
Thank you Eric for your comment.
I am just posting what the rest of the world is talking about .... and it is not pretty. Trying to scare my readers .... here is a heads-up .... the world is not like Western Europe or North America, and what is happening out there is scary. And while we should not run our lives based on fear, we should always be aware of what is happening out there, and not be shy about it.
This is why Jay Carney's comments made me raise my eyebrows .... this White House is giving a perception to the rest of the world that they do not have a clue on what is happening right now .... even after the deaths of 4 US citizens in Libya .... and that ignorance is what is really scary.
