Obama Challenges Republicans Hammering Rice On Libya To 'Go After Me' -- FOX News
President Obama aggressively challenged Republican senators threatening to block U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice if she is nominated for secretary of state, saying at a press conference Wednesday that those lawmakers seeking an "easy target" should just "go after me."
At the same time, Obama appeared to acknowledge that Rice was far removed from the internal discussions over the attack when she was tapped to explain it on five Sunday talk shows. He described her as "a U.N. ambassador who had nothing to do with Benghazi."

My Comment: What's my take on today's news conference .... the President appears to be rattled by Benghazi (as he should). The fact that his opponents are now comparing Benghazi to Watergate .... with the qualification that no one ever died because of Watergate .... has struck a sensitive nerve. Calls to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Benghazi has been met with a stony silence from the White House as well as from Democrats in Congress .... which is unfortunate because such an appointment will answer the questions that many of us have been asking for the past two months .... including the families who lost loved ones at Benghazi.
Why the stonewalling .... my guess is that as far as President Obama and his political allies are concerned .... since they won the election this issue is now closed .... and everyone should now mind their own business. But if this becomes the White House mindset, I will easily predict that there will be more leaks and damaging info released in the weeks, months, and years to come and this issue will become President Obama's legacy.
