US Air Force Has Successfully Launched The X-37B 'Baby Shuttle'

An Atlas V rocket carrying a super-secret test vehicle launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Tuesday.

CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION -- An Atlas V rocket carrying a super-secret test vehicle has launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Tuesday.

On board the rocket is a secret mini-space shuttle called the X-37B orbital test vehicle. It's an unmanned space plane, nicknamed the “baby shuttle,” which can land on its own.

The U.S. Air Force is in charge of the launch but it's highly classified so they're not releasing many details.

Ozzie Osband, who runs SpaceLaunchInfo.com says the plane’s payload could be carrying just about anything.
