U.S. Ambassador To Syria: Al-Assad Regime Crumbling

The U.S. ambassador to Syria said the Syrian regime slowly starting to crumble.

Ambassador Robert Ford said in an exclusive interview with CNN's Ivan Watson while touring the Islahiye refugee camp in Turkey that it is a slow process but the signs are pointing towards decline.

"Members of the regime, little by little, are flaking off," Ford said, noting that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's mother had fled the country and is now in the United Arab Emirates.

My Comment: Not everyone is in agreement with the U.S. Ambassador. What`s my take ....I have trouble seeing Assad still in power this time next year. But if he is still in Syria, it will be in the predominantly Alawite regions on the Mediterranean coast.
