Assad’s Troops Retreat From Golan, Leaving Islamist Rebels To Confront Israel -- Debka
Bashar Assad has evacuated most of the troops of his 5th Army Division from their permanent bases on the Golan opposite Israeli forces and transferred the unit along with its artillery to Damascus, debkafile’s military sources report.
The Syrian ruler’s step had three purposes:
1. To reinforce his Damascus defenses;
2. To carve out a buffer zone along the Israeli border and leave it under rebel control.
3. To provide the jihadists fighting in rebel ranks with access to the Israeli border fence. My Comment: Debka is known for having access to information from Israeli security sources. And while no one else is reporting this story (for now), we will know in the next few days if it is true or not. What we do know is that Israel has already treated wounded Syrians at the border, is planning to open a hospital in the Golan to treat wounded Syrian refusees from the civil war, and that they will shoot anyone who approaches the border without authorization.

Debka is a fraud. It should be completely ignored. Every time someone goes to the site, he is giving money to a bunch of scam artists. Debka invents fake news in order to get eyeballs....
To the best of my knowledge its one or two private people exploiting people’s interest in middle east related news. They make money from ads as the content is all invented by them. They are quite creative and make sure their stories do not sound crazy but it is all fiction with no real news...
Thank you VICKERSS for your comment. I am aware of Debka's background .... but I approach it like this .... even a broken clock is right two times a day.
