The Navy SEAL Who Shot Bin Laden Retires To A Life In Shambles -- Business Insider

An article published in by the Center For Investigative Reporting conjunction with Esquire today details the most intimate picture we have of the man who shot Bin Laden.

And it's pretty shocking.

"The Shooter," as he's called throughout the lengthy Phil Bronstein piece, is exiting the service after 16 years with plenty of scar tissue, and no retirement pay.

My Comment: After 16 years of service no job, no pay, no pension, no medical coverage, and no protection from Al Qaeda or extremist groups bent for revenge. This center for Investigative Reporting article is a must read post that makes you wonder what the hell is happening to the U.S. when our heroes are treated in such a way. The link is here.

Well, he did/must've broken some sort of code, both unwritten and written, when he decided to write a book and cash in on his untold fame, and now... He's paying for it.

well, that's quite a severe punishment.. I hope he makes millions on the book deal. He will need it for the time his (hopefully long) retirement spans.

Actually .... I thought the same thing until I learned that it is NOT Mark Owen, but the other SEAL who shot Bin laden.
