Taliban Kidnap 9 Foreigners After Helicopter Is Forced Down



Taliban Captures 10 Civilians In Afghanistan -- Deutsche Welle

Taliban insurgents have abducted 10 people in Afghanistan after a helicopter made an emergency landing. Eight Turks and their Afghan and Russian pilots were on the civilian helicopter.

The helicopter made an emergency landing in strong winds and heavy rain in a Taliban-controlled area south of Kabul, about 30 kilometers (18 miles) from the border with Pakistan. A spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry said the passengers and pilots were in good health.
