My Comment: Regular readers of this blog know that my nationality is Russian .... and I can say this without hesitation .... in Russia .... World War II vets are heroes who are always getting medals and the recognition for what they did 70 years ago. In short .... the Russian altitude is that it is never enough to express how grateful we are for the sacrifice that these men and women did (I include my father in this mix) .... and why we should never forget. In Britain .... it is a different story .... it appears that many want to forget.
